Verseatile prepares to release his debut album, “Worlds Apart”

Rapper Verseatile (Mike Chun) will be releasing the first of his two EPs, titled “Worlds Apart”, on March 1st.

The album will have five tracks and features artists like Manifest, Decipher, and JoAnne (yes, that one).

Regarding the title and concept of the album, Verseatile explained, “The concept behind the title is me talking about my struggles between my life of faith and my life in the world. The ‘Light Version’ will have more of a mainstream/pop sound to it. It’ll contain more of a colorful sound, as well as my singing.”

Verseatile posted a vlog recently that talks about his album a bit, and you can also hear previews for the songs as well, so check it out below!

The track list for the EP is as follows:

1. Generation Anthem
2. Outta Control
3. Who We Are (Featuring Manifest & JoAnne)
4. Brush Em Off
5. You Can Bring It (Featuring Decipher)

It will be available for direct download at www.verseatile.bandcamp.com on March 1st, so be sure to check it out!

Additionally, the second EP, also to be titled “Worlds Apart”, is tentatively scheduled for release around June. It will feature Dumbfoundead, Chan from Uptown, and Jason Chen, with possibly more to come.

That EP will have a different concept, as he explains, “The ‘Dark Version’ will focus more on a raw and soulful sound to it. It’ll be targeted towards real hip-hop heads. The content will be much deeper, as the focus of this album will be on lyricism and delivery.”

Verseatile also expressed his thanks to those who helped him in getting to this point, “J-Phonics, my producer, we got another one under our belt! On to the next one! To my mother, whom I haven’t seen in almost two years, I love you so much, and making you proud is why I do this.  Last, but not least, to God… for being my comforter, my guide, and my peace. May it be a sweet sound to your ears.”
