According to SBS, the network sold all of its ‘The Big Bang Show’ commercials even for late-night time blocks. This shows that advertisers have recognized the value and power of Big Bang’s come back in two years and six months.

It is often difficult to spot commercials for popular programs, except for sports, during midnight TV programming.

Are music programs from the ‘Big Three’ biased?

With the same faces being seen over and over again on music programs from SBS, MBC, and KBS, it’s not surprising to hear rumors of favoritism and bias against the three public broadcasting networks.

Chosun collaborated with music critic Kim (of the Chugye University for the Arts) to research the number of broadcast appearances celebrities made from January through November of last year. Their results were alarming, in that they proved the domination of the ‘Big Three’ – SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment.

Ye Ara criticized for her poor debut on “Music Core”

 

Rookie soloist Ye Ara finally made her debut this week on MBC’s “Show! Music Core,” but unfortunately, she failed to live up to her hype.

She performed her debut track “Americano” in a form-fitting outfit that managed to draw attention, which was quickly lost when she began to sing. Viewers were disappointed with the auto-tune that cluttered up her vocals.

Lee Seung Gi, Gong Hyo Jin speculated as lead cast for drama, ‘Discovery of Affection’

It was recently reported that actress Gong Hyo Jin will partner up with multi-entertainer Lee Seung Gi for the upcoming MBC drama, “Discovery of Affection (애정의발견).”

Nothing has been confirmed yet, as both sides stated, “We are currently discussing, but nothing’s been confirmed.”

“Discovery of Affection” was written by the Hong Sisters, known for their past works including “My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox“. It will be directed by Park Hong Gyun PD, who in the past has worked on the drama, “Queen Seonduk.”

The drama is scheduled to air its first episode in the Wed-Thurs slot sometime in June, after “Royal Family.”

SS501’s Park Jung Min visits Kim Hyung Joon on his MV film set

SS501′s Park Jung Min has set out to support the group’s maknae, Kim Hyung Joon, as he prepares for his solo debut next month.

Kim Hyung Joon will be the second member of SS501 to officially make his solo debut. To cheer on his bandmate, Park Jung Min dropped by Kim’s film set with snacks in hand for the staff members.

Kim Hyung Joon’s representatives revealed, “Seeing the two of them together was very heartwarming. Park Jung Min was able to give a burst of energy to both Kim Hyung Joon and the staff members, who were all very tired from the late night filming.”

The star will release his solo album this March, which will be followed by a large-scale promotion cycle in Japan and the rest of Asia.

JYJ’s Jaejoong takes a picture with his celebrity friends in Japan

JYJ’s Jaejoong recently tweeted, “It was nice to meet you all!”  and posted a picture of himself hanging out with some friends. Despite the blurry quality of the photo, fans were quick to point out that the friends in the picture were none other than Japanese celebrities Yamapi (Tomohisa Yamashita), Shirota Yu, and Ikuta Toma!

Jaejoong’s just returned from a trip to Japan, and it looks like he got a much-needed opportunity to kick back and unwind with some of his buddies.
